Default Prop Rotation, right to left

I have a 2004 Bravo 1 drive that has been run for 3-1/2 seasons, approx 175 hours, turning right hand props.
The drive was hooked to a 415HP/502MagMPI pushing a 24 Superboat.
I bought a new to me 28 Velocity without engine or drive and will install my 502Mag and Bravo 1 drive.
The previous owner ran left hand props with good success so I would like to run left as well.
Can I just simply bolt on my drive and go?
Should I be worried that the gears have worn in running right for so long?
Are there up grades/mods I should do to the drive to help it live longer running left?
Thanks,

Patrick,
You can turn the drive LH with no problems. Uses the back of the lower gears and upper gear in the upper set. How much metal do u see on your magnets. That will tell the condition of the drive. But with low hp and only 175hrs if the oil was changed often (25hrs) the drive should be in good shape..
Just keep an eye on magnets for flakes or chunks..

Hope this helps.

You'll be fine. I swap drives from side to side after a few hundred hours on twins. Might as well wear the whole drive.

Thanks guys!
I feel better about switching the rotation now...

Hey Mr Gadgets,
You went through the drive of a boating buddy of mine (T-Mone) last off season. You installed a new/better top cap and studs. I'd like to do that to mine along with adding a drive shower if it would be worths the $$.
Is this a simple swap?
Please PM me a quote for the parts.
Thanks,
Patrick
