I want those exhaust tips! Where are those from? Shotguns? Do they help at all?

Dick,

Thanks for the update on he DLC.. I will also look into the Tungsten process, as I am not familiar with it..

I agree on the quality conrol from Merc.

PK,

not sure what tips they are, as it's from the Advantage that had the IMCO drive I bought.

Jeff1000,

Yes, great learning thread, sharing of good scientific ideas is a good thing..

Sharing wives tales is another learning experience..!

J1000,

Who said I was hitched...?

Borrowing one is much cheaper, as I can often upgrade for a new model at no cost rather than having to keep the old model...

Another alternative is leasing, AKA Short term borrowing with minimum payments...

I don't like the cheap ones. I would rather have a good time with a short term lease and a 1 time payment for her to leave.

This has been a great read.
I understand how the cryo treatment helps with gears, but what about the coatings? are you looking for coatings for hardness or lubricity factors? What about a coating like this?

http://www.dicronite.com/Specifications.htm

Just curious, I have stuff coated all the time for altering surface hardness and lubricity.
