Does anyone know what this little white plastic hose barb/nipple is for on a Bravo X drive?

Speedo meter look on the front of the drive above the bullet, you will see the actual speedo pickup hole.

Good stuff, thanks that's pretty slick, I am new to Bravo drives ..... but with the large Gaffrig pickup and large black hose I have on my boat I can't use it ..... I guess I should just leave it as is ?? no reason to plug it?
