I own a 90 Fountain 29 Fever with original bravo 1 outdrives including the rams that are badly pitted. How difficult is it to get the drives back to looking like new? What’s the process, and price?

I am guessing you mean, the metal has "pitted" where the paint has come off??

Thier is a couple of ways to fix

1. Body filler, and paint over, may last a year or two?? Cheapest can do it yourself.

2. Remove drive, take to welder and they drill out pitted area and weld new metal in there, sand and paint.

Up to you what direction you want to go, Oh make sure you replace all the zinc's while your at it.

The body filler has held up on mine for about 5 years now, fresh water trailer queen, I would look at some marine epoxies also for filling. My parts were blasted, then a ground out the pits to give a clean surface and a little more area for the 'filler' to bite to.

You may not want to hear this.........but mines was an 89 and my cylinders were so pittted and corroded I replaced them, same with my drive. Make sure your parts are good before you dive into repairing them, you may end up spending a ton of time and money only to find out your stuff is too far gone, and you would be better off buying some newer used assemblies.
