b/w velvet drive leaking

Hi,
Can any one help me I have a 1986 stinger 312 with the breather valve on the top of the velvet drive is leaking fluid. I replaced it and it still is leaking. any ideas.T

If your transmission is overfilled it will aerate and blow out the vent. Check the fluid when it is hot and immediately after shutting off the engine. If you see air bubbles it's overfilled no matter what the dipstick shows.

If it has always done that since day one, there's a fix for it.
If it just started leaking recently, than you are starting to have
internal problems going on inside the trans. This will cause leaking also. A trans. service tech. of all types of transmissons
for over 25 years.

fyi - i had twin bw 71c's behind 330 trs that blew oil out of the vents from day one. seems 71c's can handle 300hp. dealer installed drive oil reservoirs and hoses from vent to bottles. solved the problem until I upped the hp and installed 72c's. Then no leaks

That stops the leak but I had a few that pushed all the oil into the bottle and then blew the box and the oil drains back in!
