Jay got a great shot of my transom during the LCPR. Shows the SCX's well. The boat is right at 100. You can even see the drive cooling water shooting out fore of the drive caps if you look close. Looks like my engine coolant and intercooler water is doing a good job of showering the drive. The set up at this point seems pretty efficient. I still have issues with hop, but it is the nature of this hull. I've got some 21 rake props to try next year.

Eric,
I lost only 1-2 mph with the SCX lower. In my opinion, well worth it, considering the longevity the lower gives over an XR. Another plus, I was able to run the same prop as I had on my XR with no noticeable difference in ride characteristics. I would love to tear the lower apart to examine the gears but so far, no luck with finding the appropriate tools. Imco will only sell the tools as a complete SCX kit, which sells for some $3k. I cant justify me spending that much just yet. I did take the covers off my SCX upper, sent in my borescope and was able to snap these pictures. This upper has about 150 hrs on it. The gears look great so far. I am hopeful the lower looks just as good. I wish I could get my borescope into the lower for a look.
