Anyone have a recommendation on which cordless impact gun? I looked online and there's too many of them!!

What model have you all had good experience with?

1/2" drive I assume?

Thanks in advance,
Craig

I like my DeWALT DC800KL. But I've never owned anything else, so not much of a comparison.

EDIT: One thing about the DeWALT to have in mind is, if you take it places and use it somewhat much, you should get extra batteries so you have 3. It's kinda power hungry.

I've got a Matco 3/8. I was never overly excited about it's performance, but the price was right. (Gift from OSO member!)

I'll probably reinvest in a 1/2 from Snap-On, Matco, or DeWalt one day soon.

i use an impact tool to remove the prop, but not to torque it on install. i am not confident of the unkown torque of the imapct tool. so i end up using the wood method or holding the prop by hand.

I've watched Bob Teague use a large rubber mallet to tighten the props on Miss Amsoil. I'm keeping a rubber mallet in the boat from now on, it's the easiest thing I've seen.

This is what we have, have tried several others and they are not up to the task of taking the nut off. As said the batteries dont last real long, but it comes with two. Plenty enough for a week end, plus its strong enough to remove lug nuts from your trailer, or car unless you put them on with a breaker bar.

I don't see how you could ever get enough torque with someone holding just the prop.
