imco sc question

Default imco sc question

putting new imco gimble rings and bells on my boat and when i removed drives{ imco sc s} i noticed the u joints bad .i called imco and they say they are $228.00 each also the same as xr drives i told them i had 2 diff cap sizes 1.328 and 1 .217 . they claim they are all the same size .so is the guy i talked to wrong ??.he also said i could buy them from mercruiser for an xr if so whats the part # im looking for. i know the early xrs had real big joints and those are no longer avail .looking to get this back together for a run in conn. thanks

I have two different sizes also.

The 1.328, should have grease fittings and are the old XR ujoints, Merc PN 862132T. Bam shows them still available for $170.31
The 1.217, should not have grease fittings and are the new XR ujoints, Merc PN 866136A01. Bam shows them for $203.17.

This is what I found when researching the it.. If you go to Bam's site and look at the drawing look up.. those are the pn's they show.

Conversion joint, never seen them on a drive but in pieced together trucks plenty of times
