Definitely looking forward to watching you run this year!
Thank you, I'm very excited. Stotler's motors are overachievers. If we can keep drives on the boat and get the X set we'll have a competitive package. The weight differential is insignificant so CG won't be an issue.

Hopefully I'll be able to give your friend some data. Is he in a cat or V?
At this time we're going to leave them at same X, test, evaluate and go from there. This is safe. I don't want to get smoked by Geico again. I want to go full tilt 100% and school them youngsters! Lol
He Runs a V-bottom and with current power and #6's runs about 103 mph.
Also his #6 drives are currently 2" lower than recommend.
His concerns were Handling and Planing due to his style of boating.

Now that he has had several good years with that set-up
he is up grading in Power and Drives.

He will automatically gain the 2" in X and test.
He will space down if needed.

Final note, He is having one of the best do the upgrade and dial-in.
Again not at liberty to share until he is done per his request.

We've run them at high power and they hold together. We've lost some speed from drag. Will move them over the winter

Can ya run (X) any higher?

My friends boat I mentioned earlier in the thread is running 2" higher than he was with his old #6 drives.

With the #6 drives he was just a fuzz or two north of triple digits with a 38' V bottom.
With the M8's and 2" higher and still prop testing is 115 mph.
