I guess I'll join in on this. I just bought a 90 Cig cafe running some fairly fresh (rebuilt) IMCO Xtream Advantage SCs. The pervious owner has been running Cen-pe-co "Hi-Torque gear lube with temp tac" with good results for the last couple seasons 40-50hrs. He's a Farmer, motorsports enthusiest, drag races, races modifides, has a 90 mph 38 lightning with decent blower power and SSM 3 big shafts, a dry sump 1100hp/side strait bottom gun-w-6s, and he builds his own engines... Not that thats supposed to be some ringing endorcement for the lube but he does run it in some various equiptment and really likes it. Oil has always come out clean and particle/flake free. His dad generally drove the boat mostly, not a real heavy handed guy and not a lot of shock loading, easy up, easy down.. I've got a real vested interest in this topic and have been reading a
bit on the subject. I'm under no dilusion that things couldnt go snap/crackle/pop at any time with 750hp/28P Bravo
1s. I guess I have all kinds of concerns like others who dont run #6s lol..
Viscosity characteristics are interesting to me here in the North East where the sea water is blue lipps cold, are up to temp running temps are going to be comprable to quite a few guys here but maybe cooler than say Fla.. A lot of these conversations end up not being apples to apples..
Heres a link for the oil.http://www.cen-pe-co.com/Product%20D...rque%20Red.pdf
Now, I'm not sure I'm staying with this stuff or not and thats why I'm hear to learn, read some more and figure this all out....hopefully...

Steve Smith posted some damage on a thread Mark Rinda started; I asked Mark who rebuild my drives and who I've talked to before, about his thoughts on me opening mine up and inspecting the pinion gear and clutch gear faces. I cant remember if I mentioned the gear oil before on FB, maybe but I couldnt find it in my comment history..
