If that doesn't do it, break out a stethoscope with a piece of brake line attached to zero in on the noise. Be amazed how quickly you can narrow down a faint rattle by eliminating other influences. Works great for locating rocker arm noise, so betting you could isolate drive components also. Plus you have a quiet baseline to compare with.
