Default Daytona. Crash box running in reverse

Have a question regarding Daytona crash gearbox

at present have crash gear box (FNR) in between TT 502 and parallel drive connected to ASD6
drive is setup to run RH 19 spline props

was wondering whether anyone has had has had experience with putting Daytona box in reverse to run LH prop?

i have selection of LH props with different pitches to the RH prop and thought about tested them

understand that some guys do this with bravo drive
just wondering whether the Daytona crash box would handle this?

It won't handle it. In forward it is straight through. In reverse there is a gear involved that is not designed for full power.

By default you have a LH rotation drive with an in line model. (your running a normal rotation GM based engine?)

The crash box, and most all of the crash's made, are not full time forward/reverse capable.

Ok, I see the Casale changes your rotation.

Glad that someone else is dealing with a crashbox. Mine is inline to the arneson (BBC spinning LH rotation). I just ran it yesterday in reverse with a right hand prop. It ran fine. Only problem was it was kicking a little oil out the vent because the output gear is right below it (simple spur gears). I'm about to go to a z box like you have. I like your setup!

I was going to do one on my scarab. This is a 29 Sanger alley cat that needs some work. The motor I have in it is around 450hp to a sp1000 drive. I made a bravo 2 prop hub fit it so I can run Merc props. And i just tried a 24x14.5 pitch small hub prop. I'm going to try a 20 or a 19 next. The low power and direct drive really kills it.
