I've heard this a lot -- what specifically happened to you just long delays on parts?

I never had problems getting parts from Arneson , although my list was small , bearings ,seals ,studs and the big castle nuts that hold the thrust tube on .

Uh,....... WHEN was it you didn't have problems getting parts from Arneson*** / Rik ?

*** In Name only... Howard has nothing to do with his custom drives anymore...... He handed the business on a silver platter to Rik about 10 years ago. ( From what I hear, Rik has not done Howard any favors in respect to the namesake since then )

And that pisses me off....

I have personally bought parts from Rik on multiple times over the last 4 years , this is the length of time I have run a set of ASD7's on my boat .This is my personal experience not something I heard ,

What typically do you need to buy parts wise/what have you seen fail over 4 years on the drives? What kinds of costs?

I bought my drives used and the boots that go over the ball on the thrust were ripped so I wanted to replace them. When the thrust tubes were apart ,I replaced seals ,castle nuts, bearings , boots, and (2) broken studs. I don't remember the cost I will have to find the receipts the only thing I thought was costly was the castle nuts that hold the thrust tube on . In the 4 years I have ran these drives nothing has broken with the drives something I could not say when I was running bravos .

Please do me a favor???? Edit OUT my unfair comment about Rik and his surface drive business.....in your post if possible?? My comment was uncalled for and totally ignorant of the facts.
I observed Rik's 125% effort at the old shop. ( I was totally confused about the rumors about Rik - It made no sense to me )
DO NOT BELIEVE the negative comments being spread around about Rik........ He is a master building the Arneson drives, and there are some fake news from others.

Thank you

Why would you state something yesterday and then do a total 180 today? Doesn't make a lot of sense??

I have SCX upper and lowers. They do scrub some speed- But not near as much as Broken Chit does
