Arneson ASD6 info
Arneson ASD6 information.
I managed to complete a good deal on a 1986 Cobalt 300 Condurre, with Blow BBCs, and Arneson ASD6s. Hull has 144hrs (original TRS boat) Arnesson drives and B&M 420 Blown BBCs have about max 50 hrs. Boat has sat for 30 yrs. Arnesons look pristine after I washed the algea off. My issue...is that I have zero info on the ASD6s. Prop nut tq?? Things like that. Fluids etc. These props turn in. Not sure if that is the best, vs out. Rolla 5 Blade props. Orig owner said he sourced better trannys...I'm assuming he got them from BAM or something. This was all done in 1991 ish. Does anyone have an ASD6 service manual? Lots of info online for the 8s and7s...but the 6 is a little obscure. I originally snagged this as a potential drive and engine setup for my Formula 233, but the boat is in good shape, so we'll do the refit. The Condurre 300 needs to go on a diet... Art |
The BBC tags (he got crate 454s for the new arnesons)...
...are PCM engines. Anyone have any info on the early 90s Pleasurcraft Marine Engine Co and what these might be for internals? |

The Arnesons and BBCs never saw salt. Raw water cooled. Will need to find a place for heat exchangers. I need to figure that put before I pull anything out. |
The original Arneson conversions came with asd6 drives .

Pretty amazing boat, it will be cool to see it restored and plying the waterways again!

The maintenance instructions are for the conversion kits and I don't know how your engines are attached to the drives
