Unless they are the old school Mercury buzzers that have a timer they should also sound whenever the ignition is on and the engine is not running -
no oil pressure.
The timer was about 10 seconds if I remember correctly.

They do sound off if I turn the key to "on" but not start. They may shut off automatically but I can't stand the noise and never waited that long. I had one sound off for the drive oil. That took a little while for me to figure out because my last boat didn't have that reservoir. Thanks for the help.

Love this. What is Holley guardian? Google turns up nothing and my manual has nothing on it, either. Would love to utilize that first before building out my own lights

I believe Dan is referring to his Holley EFI system to trigger warning lights to his digital dash when his sensors fall out of the tolerances he set. And also put his system into a limp mode by pulling timing, cutting cylinders out or adding additional fuel to save a failure.
