Yes,

It is Bruce's boat. He is back home and I told him I would put my feelers out there to other Daytona owner's about his set up. He is a great guy and I really want to see him having fun in that new boat. Thanks for all of the help, I know he appreciates it, and I do too.

Just curious as to why you say he needs a 5blade I understand they help low to mid but they are not as fast on the big end.

Marty,

The drive is definately a 2" short, and when the Whipple came up through the hatch about 3/4", a red flag went up. I gave Bruce a measurement to check while he was down at Eliminator, and he said that every gimbal he checked was 1" lower than his.

I have a standard Bravo on mine and the x is 2 inches below the bottom of the sponsons.About to fit a 2" shorty.I think BBoaters is level with his sponsons now. Will be interesting to see when he adds a 1" spacer.

Squeezing the very last digit may come from say lowering it 1" and the right 4 blade.

But it would be easy and fast to try a 5 blade which has a good chance of fixing the issues he's concerned about, improve mid range cruise by several digits and only leavy one digit on the table up top.

think about it- both routes put more prop in the water, the 4 blade route puts more prop and gearcase in the water.

I've had good results with the P5x on my Pantera and with the maximus on my mild daytona 30
