first of all here is my # 608-524 4361 please call and ask my name is joe koziel . If you would like i can send you all of info on all 13? I do not appreciate the crack about spelling. i do not claim to have a degree. i just work very hard at what i do. i run 2 ford dealerships. last time i looked i did'nt have to have a degree in any thing to have worked my way up the ladder. i am sorry that you can not imagine owning 13 eliminators. Maybe you should of put your money that you spent on your degree to better use! I do not appreciate the smart ass cracks from some little pin head! Dont get mad at me for your short falls in life! All i was trying to say was I problem is it is very hard to see through the drivers side. and it is a safety issue. and the factory did nothing. is that to hard to understand. Ford and all car companys have atleast a 3 year 36,000 warranty and it doesnt matter how many owners. i only run the boat 4 months out of the year brecause of weather in wisconsin. I am 42 years old and have never had a boat longer than 2 years. My first daytona was a 21 daytona bought from bob anderson in the mid 80's.

I can tell you first hand all canopies are not alik., I have had the ones that Eliminator made and they are flat out dangerous. The Eliminator canopy is ticker about 3/8" the ones from Aero Marine are 1/2".

On that note i would not expect Eliminator to cover a part like canopies on a second hand boat.

Dallas did you not test drive the boat to know what you where buying?

Default Couple of Thoughts

1. This forum is intended to help Eliminator owners - sharing experiences - ultimately allowing Eliminator owners to get as much enjoyment out of their toys as possible. There is no need for the insults back and forth. It is unproductive, unnecessary, and not even that amusing. If you want to abuse each other do it via PM's or phone calls, or in another section on this forum.

2. It's obvious Dallas has an appreciation for the Eliminator product because he has purchased more than one. If he didn't like the product, he'd have chosen one of the myriad of other alternatives available to him after his first Elim.

3. In each of the 2 Elims I purchased, my warranty's were one year from delivery from factory. For both boats, Elim was quite fair on what they covered.

4. I think we need to respect the fact that Eliminator is a business and they have to show some prudence in what should be covered and for how long. Fountain Powerboats just filed for Chapter 11 because they made some bad business decisions....not necessarily all due to warranty claims, etc... I run a computer software business and don't claim to understand what it takes to run a successful boat manufacturer. But I do respect the fact that they may make decisions I don't understand and the fact that they have endured multiple tough economic environments, including the latest, leads me to believe they are making the decisions they need to in order to remain viable so that I may have the opportunity to purchase another Eliminator down the line.

5. As long as they continue to make a great product, that meets my desires, and treat owners fairly post-sale, I'll be an Eliminator customer.

6. Dallas, if it were me and your boat was delivered from the factory more than a year ago, I'd purchase new/better canopies from Aero as recommended by others. If it was delivered from the factory to someone (even if it wasn't you), I'd recommend having your dealer do some work for you (if you purchased from a dealer), or if not ask to speak with Bob and avoid the public threats. While you may not get the answer you like, the odds of a favorable outcome will be better via a professional discussion w/the owner who would certainly appreciate your multiple acts of patronage.

Just my 2 cents.

What was the problem with the windshields? Are they hazed, or do they have distortion that is hard to see through. If it's distortion, that obviously didn't happen over night, and was probably like that since day one. In that case, Eliminator should step up to the plate. I guess the question would be, if it is distorted, and was like that last year, why wasn't it mentioned then. Haze can come from using the wrong materials to clean it, outdoor elements, age......... I don't see how a haze would be warrantied. I may be missing some of the details, but that's what i see.

As far as the guys on here bashing Dallas for grammar and punctuation, it's just a bunch of crap. You guys must not have anything better to do than try and push buttons. It's plain f'in stupid, and obviously you guys have no good contributions to the problem at hand. Why post at all?

To the last 2 posts. i do appreciate the advise. i have been dealing with this problem for a while now the canopies are blurred every one that gets in the boaT has no idea how i can see. my whole point was was it is a safety issue. like i said kenny was very nice. And i understand he only can do what he can do. I do completely understand that you cant make every one happy. i was just hoping for a little more than what i was given. and yes i do love eliminators after 13, yes i did say 13 !This is my first real issue

Is it still a warranty issue? How many years are they warrantied for?
I think if it was a warranty issue Eliminator would have sorted it unless you have'nt been talking to the right person.
Dallas what's the largest you've owned?
Are they always a couple of years old when you've purchased them?Amazing that someone could have 13.Would have to be the best Eliminator customer ever.
Do you guys over there transfer ownership through Eliminator when you sell a boat thats still warrantied?

1 thing that was new to me.I was never told the warranty only goes to the first person not from any dealer, or bob anderson.I always thought it stays with the boat. So basically if you sell the boat in the first 6 months there is no warranty. I bought a brand new 2001 left over in 2002. Then Bill Shumaker did the procharger that was the first year for the 26 with icc, then in 05 i bought a new 28 daytona from lightning bay in St. Pete Fla. That had the twin 496, then two year ago i took my daughter and flew the LA boat show. And when I was there i found a pre owned 2007 with the twin 525 for about half of what the 2008 at the boat show was. and now im looking at a 32 dcb or maybe a 33 daytona. but after all this most likely a dcb. its simple i can not see clearly when driving. that should be covered period. at least thats my opinion

Over time if the canapy is not cleaned correctly, they will get blurry and hard to see through. Last year when I was looking at the LA show, both DCB and Eliminator told me that.

Get over it and realize the old owner might of started the problem by not cleaning them correctly and now it is your problem.
