1st run in the 27' Daytona

Well guys i pushed her just alittle on Sat! WOW little info weather was great for hp water was not smooth as glass.Only had her open about 5secs! But with 4 guys on the boat about 225lbs each all my stuff... The old 600 took it right to my set rev limit of 6000rpm. So it was 115MPH, 6,000RPM 32"Bravo one, 1.35 gear! That is 15% slip, is that to high?? What u guys think i was WAY HAPPY! I have a 34"Bravo to try out next! One thing what kind what water psi do i want 20-25PSI running 110+? On one run i blew that rubber o-ring out of the top of my sea strainer? Easy fix, but i did turn my psi dump valve out a few turns after that.

Thank you Skydog

Congrats that's some big numbers.... Including ur slip factor... You should try to shoot for around 7% of slip. As for the water psi Imco recommends 15 to 20lbs at full speed.. Keep in mind that u will lose psi at higher speeds as ur drive is running on the surface of the water.

UPDATE!!!!

`Well, just got in Boat ran UNREAL!!!! I run on a small river so we dont have tons of room at all!! WOT for about 7-8 sec, with a buddy ridding shot gun. 120MPH!!!!! It had maybe 1-2more before we would have hit the rev limt. Tach was about 5900-5950 and had to shut it down river makes a hard left. This was with a stock Lab Merc 34" Bravo one.

Thank you Skydog P.S. One little thing had him taping the run in side the boat, got done look at camra it says stop taping to save hard drive from all the shaking!!! WTF!!! HAHAHA

600 Meril with 1271 blower XR drive that Teague has worked on. Should have boat back in a week for some new speed runs hoping for 130+MPH Boat should be at about 1150HP on pump now we will see Dyno next week.
