letterrip, Curious as to how you filled in the bigger TRS cutout to accept the smaller Bravo. I was told it was easier to replace the whole transom than to patch in both the TRS & tiller arm cutouts. The reason being is, not much area is left in the patch after the bravo is cutout.

Hi, We went solid & feathered it all out further past, to ensure that it would bridge the area and then some.
I personally would never even think of doing the Whole transom on this boat,... anyway !

it was sooo solid to begin with & garage kept all its life.
In my thoughts , that would make me uncomfortable.
on my boat at least , every boat may be different , either the Transom or owners outlook.

If its done right in theory It will actually be stronger.

In my case, it was far easier to replace the full transom since there were no engines to block a clear and easy path to replacement. Plus, all the other patches .i.e, thru exhausts etc, etc, would have been plugs galore back there!...........best a luck with your conversion!

UPDATE!

Its getting a little closer to spring so I set up the scoop on the engine hatch tonight. Came out good, now need it to dry and then some body work!
