Pearl white on a topgun?

You definitely need a skilled painter when shooting pearl or it looks hideous, and the long lines and waviness of a boat are very unforgiving. Pearl also goes in and out of fashion and more expensive to do correctly so it’s a bold move. With that said, I’d do it to my boat in a heart beat if I had the means. Still classic but much more interesting and shines up nicely. I’d keep the pearl subtle and it will always be a winner.

The first delivered 32 Sunsation Innovator had a GM Pearl White base and it was absolutely stunning in the sun. Mitcher T paint job. Not an all white boat though as it had yellow, orange, red, etc. graphics. I say go for it!

Every color on my boat from Mitch has some type of pearl in it. Looks very uniform in all lighting conditions. Has small scratch to fix. Let you know how it turns out. Maybe a before n after. ****ing drunk pontoon boat backed into the side just a second to late for me to save. I guess saved most of damage but did get the gun before I made it to the boat. Paint was well below 30 k , second boat he painted for me. Maybe cut me a deal

Thank you all for your responses. I'm gonna give it a try. Plan to paint the port and starboard dash panels/boxes this weekend before i fully commit.

I am no expert on how long you can keep automotive paints, or how to store them.
But I would suggest mixing up around 1.5x what you need, with the base and additives; all from the same lot. And then keep what you didn't need in the best possible storage conditions for the paint.
