Default prop question

My father has a 87 272 SR1 with 2 350's with alpha drives
non-counter rotaters. He is currently running 23 pitch cleavers. He would like to upgragde his props would you guys recomend running 3-blade mirage or 4-blabe bravo, and what pitch? He would probably like the midrange of the 4 blade. but what would you guys recomend or have experiance with running.

Default Re: prop question

People I know had good luck with 21-23p Mirage Plus w/ that package. The Mirage plus adds cup over stock older Mirages, so you go down 2" in pitch. I'd say start w/ 21's 1st, and hopefully buy them somewhere that you could send them back for 23's if needed. Max RPM should be around 4600, so shoot around there. People got an extra 3-5 mph going to the 21P Mirage plus over the cleavers.

Don't know of anyone using 4 blades w/that configuration.
