Default who runs F 35-7 ?

No engine in my boat. What engine hp and drive are you guys running and what kind of speed do you get ? Wish I could run a true 70 mph minimum.
What kind of engine to run 80 + ?

It will take two BIG one's to get to 80. I'd say probably 700 a side?

Yes, the price of getting a boat that size/weight goes up exponentially when you get above 60 mph.

I know. Just trying to figure out. They apparently run 63-65 with stock 454-420hp. BFord1 has his for sale with 454 blower with roughly 540 hp each and claim to run 75-77. So I want to know what it really is with let's say HP 500 or 525, 600 and 700. I know some runs GM crate engine 572-620 hp in some F 35-7 but don't know what speed they're getting.

Jeff32,
My 86 357 ran 64-66gps with 420's slightly warmed over and I also had the surface drive package. Heavy boats but they ride awesome. I think you will need some serious ponies to go 80. There is a guy on here with a surface drive 357, goes 80 with 750 n/a's I can't remember his name but it was a sweet ride.

I was going to say, you better have the Kaama drives if you want to push that kind of hp. 750's would be TRS and Bravo busting machines.

Bob Barker (who I haven't seen here for a while - but a helluva nice guy) claimed 80 mph with 650hp a side.

Can't remember the guy;s name here with the Kamma 357. I think he had 700hp/side and claimed 83mph.

All of this is from memory so corect me if I'm wrong.
