After spending Saturday bouncing around in Long Is Sound the wall fabric started peeling away. Black S*** was all over the place. When I started vacuuming up the mess I discovered that the black foam get sucked right off the fabric leaving the fabric in good shape. I am thinking that the fabric could be re-glued to a layer of foam and be reused. Has anyone tried that?

The owner of Suburban Marine in Meriden CT has a 1996 382 with the same problem. He is putting out some feelers to see if the fabric can be picked up at a lower price than Formula is offering. I really hope that he finds out that Formula isn't gouging us. He is also concerned with jacking up the cabin roof (per Formulas instructions). Has anyone experienced a problem doing that?

The deck will flex just a bit. You do not have to move it much just enough to get the pinch off the top of the cabinets. The headliner at the factory as well as the entire cabin is installed prior to the deck placement. The headliner is sandwiched in the process.

I have a 2000 382 purchased in 2010. Headliner was perfect. One year later and some bouncing around in Long Island Sound I now have a headliner issue. Black particals, deteriorated glue, everywhere. Looking for help to take it apart myself. I would like to know if I can reuse the material or if I need to buy new material.

Forget trying to reuse the material; it will only come out lumpy without the backing. I have some leftover material from doing my boat: Headliner material

I just re-did my interior of my 1997 419 and found the ultra leather for $48.00 a yard without the foam backing. Purchased the foam separately from a local trim shop for $2-3.00 a yard. Formula had no problem providing me the color code for the Ultra Leather. Even though there is a big difference in the years the product was made, it matched the color of my other ultra leather near perfect. Google is a powerfull tool.
