Default New Taco Rub Rail

Pulled the factory black rub rail off and replaced it with Taco's 2 piece Rigid Base and Vinyl insert. Very time consuming but worth it.

Thanks dg,
It was a one-owner boat w/ 242 hours when I purchased her in 2004. But it's like every boat....a work in progress!
This was my last undertaking in March 2006.

Very cool. Looks good in the pics for sure!
So that's about $5/ft for the rail + insert before S&H. Do they really get you for $115 freight?
Once you add up the rail and insert + S&H, I wonder how it would compare with the OEM White/Stainless from Formula? Somebody here did that...haven't been able to find the thread...but didn't share costs...

Last I heard, Taco supplies Formula's Rub Rail and has since 1996. Taco makes the White/Stainless combo. You can check it out on their website. Make sure the base is a minimum of 1 7/8 " (1.875") wide to cover discolored gel coat etc.

Now that right there is worth the price of admission
I did poke around on Taco's site at the stainless stuff. I guess the shape/dimensions are a little different than what you used. I also learned Taco's HQ is right here in south Florida...gotta find a "friendly" local distributor...
