** UPDATE**

Well it has been a long hard winter. I got with the builder yesterday he said two weeks. I am going to have the trannys done next week as well. The bilge is still a sore spot but it is coming along. I have to get the new blower hose, get it painted and finish it up. When it is done it should be a great boat. I will update when the motors get off the dyno.

I wanted to start on teh boat in April, now I'm wrenching on a snowmoible that I won't ride till next January.

by the way, $4.15 diesel and 11.2 mpg average sucks !!!!
$475 to take 4 guys to the great white north and back
that and a blowed up sled, and a speeding ticket !!!!. good thing my boating hobby is so much cheaper

OFFTHEFRONT Thanks for the encouragement.

HANDFULZ AND RAMB........

I got a pair of 370's that needed to be freshened up. One had a warped block and the other was SUPPOSEDLY a good running one. after further inspection there was no problem with the block and to "good" one had a broken valve and a burnt piston. ...........oh and all four heads were cracked.
....................................

Anyway the blocks are decked, bored and now have .30 Weisco forged pistons tha t are 9.6 to 1. Had the whole assembly balanced and put together. I got two sets of heads from Andy here on the board they are 990's that have been cleaned and milled for straightness. I bought two new AirGap intakes, a Custom cam that is a 228/238 .544.544 and a pair of HP 500 carbs that are going on top. I am hoping for 450-460 RELIABLE HP. we shall see in couple weeks because this is costing a CHIT LOAD OF DOUGH...

Sounds good... those cams are real close to the 420 cams, I am curious to see the dyno numbers, I have a similar combo but have Merlin heads with single plane intakes.
