Default 382 Anchor Stowage

I have a box anchor. Where does everyone stow their anchor?
I currently stow it under the rear bench seat. I was thinking about placing it in the side compartments, but I'm concerned about damage during rough conditions.

That is where I keep mine. So far after one year of use I have not seen any damage from the box anchor.

I carry both an FX-11 Fortress with 250' of 1/2" 3-strand, and a small 2-piece plow with 200' of 3/8" as a lunch hook. I keep one in each side compartment, along with the fenders and ammos boxes of spare parts. I use 2 mesh anchor bags for the rode and the anchors like this one. You can get them here for $40. (Sorry about the web site; it's the only place I found that carried them...)

Check out this old thread:

I have kept my Box Anchor in that bag for 4+ years in several boats, side compartment, under backseat, and even in cabin compartments (under opposing couches), and it works well for me. I really like the fender pad. It protects the boat from the anchor where ever you have it, bow, swim platform, engine hatch; etc.

Very much the same as c-spray, I also use an FX anchor, it disasembles and stores in its own bag and then I use a simalar bag as c-spray showed for the 250' line and stowe them both in the side compartment along with my cockpit cover & saftey float & line. The other side I store 4 bumbers & 6 lines, I really like the amount of storage space the 382 has compared to other types of sport boats.

I have the Box Anchor as well and store it in a bag that came with my Rigid Drill, Saw, Flashlight. It fits perfectly in the bag and storage compartment behind the sundeck.
