Well, back from Biloxi and still alive...Now I know why they call the SVL class the crash test dummies. What a ride, there are no words to describe going into the first corner with 8 other crazy azz boat racers. It was a trip.

As for the captions:

We sure kicked that Bud's boat, look how long it took him to catch up to us. (As we sit at idle and drink a beer).

Hey Doug, did you empty the ballast tank yet?

or

You think any of those guys on the TIBBC thread would even consider getting in this boat?

Dave

Carefull with that all encompassing comment there Speed Racer. I spent eight years in that flying hockey puck Velocity, I have see more wierd chit out of a hull than most ever will, and at a lot higher speeds than that OSS posted 74.85 mph. OSS listed the sea conditions as "FLAT", you need to man up here and get down to business on this job you signed up for. Ms. Jenni done put a whoop a$$ on you, and I believe it was her first time out of the gate, was it not? Maybe I should see if Doug needs a throttle man for Havasu.

BTW Did Guido show up with the brown paper bag yet?

Instead of "Dude, where's my car?" it sounded like ......

Dave> "Dude, where's the finish line?"

or

Doug> Dave! "are ..... we ..... going ...... to ...... make ..... it?"
Dave> " For christ sake she's about to sink !!!!"
" Need more power captain !!! more power !!!!"

Doug> Dave! "pass .... me .... another ..... beer ..... I .. am .... thinking ....."

Dave> Damit Doug! "I am a throttle man not a bartender!!"

or

As Homer Simpson would say " Look Dave, Beeeeeer" as the Bud Light boat was going by.

Don't ask me where I come up with this chit.

LOL ..... LOL .....

Dave >>> See Doug, I've been trying to tell you not to worry, "I've Got A Guy" for everything, that right there is JT, he's my "Beeeeeer Guy", I'll get him ont the radio and have him toss out a few more freebies on their next lap by.

Doug >>> I gotta tell you Dave, drifting along drinking free beeeeeer is not a bad deal, but this is just not the program I had in mind here. I sure hope you don't think I'm swimming after the next round.

Doug >>> By the way Dave, on the bartender versus throttleman deal, I've see you in action at both now and I honestly gotta tell you..................Dave you do run a mean slushie machine.

You got the cash....run out and get one and join the Fun...It is nothing like running on the River. Last I checked, there are NO 90* corners that have 8 boats going into it at once 10 feet apart. Hell, buy back the Velocity and come race OPA with us in P-4. You only have to maintain 85 mph. Shouldn't be a problem for that sled...

As for the lap speeds...That is an average for the 4 of 6 laps we completed, including idling down the front straight away to get back to the pits. We were only off by 6 mph from the leaders. You have no idea what these things do on the race course...I guarantee it. But if you don't beleive me, join in the fun and see!

You can call Doug for Havasu, I'm sure he'll lease you a spot. Also, you will need a booster seat to see over the dash board, it's not built like a Fountain.

He won't stop calling me, I think I'm going to wait to decide just to make sure it can run the NEW projected number, then consider my options. Right now I doubt it is going anywhere but in my slip!

I suppose I do, but why would I want two boats? And why in he!! would I want the Velocity back? P-4, could run that class in the Fountain, the deal is you can not exceed the class speed, all I need to do is put smaller props on the thing and I'd be good to go, but again, why would I want to?
