I don't think diesel really stands a chance of effecting me in any fashion.
Other than the smile I get when I'm on the power.

second: the 5338 miles worth of diesel fuel I've bought in the last two years (OK...April 1st it'll be two years) has definitely hurt.
Though when I've needed work done, it's been quite painless.

My "daily driver" gets 30 MPG...and yours?
Makes me wanna run right down and buy a gas truck to drive every day...
third: you'll be laughing out the other side of your face shortly...
'cause not long from now, when this high demand unusually long (in comparison to recent years) winter is over in the NE and the diversion of diesel derivative refining by-product to home heating oil ends...
and gasoline demand starts to go up as it always does in the spring/summer
you'll be right there "stroking that pen" @ $4/gal on the street and $5 on the water.
while diesel goes back down to the 3.50 range...
wait and see
ye' old wise man.

First of all, I didn't write the article.
Second, I believe it is somewhat implied that you do actually have to start the thing in order to be affected in any manner.
Third, I could likely find a couple hundred bucks to buy a "daily driver", but why? I like my truck. Did this years ago, would put the hot rod up for the winter and buy something to drive till spring, we called them winter rats though.
Fourth, I know how much more efficient the black monsters are in comparison to the blue fuel suckers, bla bla bla, but why would I want to give up all that extra "fun factor" for the sake of a few dollars? If I wanted fuel efficiency in a boat I could buy a sailboat or a canoe. And likely these new fuel injected 525's will be more efficient than the old carbed 500's anyways, especially when combined with the more efficient hull design. Should actually be less money to run this new one.

Honestly 5P, I noticed Hottie before the Fountain banner, never let it be said that I do not have an eye for the finer things in life, and in their proper order.

BTW, Eliots got the better of the two hats, and per the news, his honey prefered he wear one, aparently in contrast to his preference.
