Thanks for the kind words Bird.

So how was the trip up the Canadian Creek? Little soggy?
This weather lately just plain chits, hopefully it will turn around for August. Yesterday was a super day, lots of sun and some good chop, ran around with Axa and did some rippin' for the video camera. Maybe he'll get the vid posted, nice little 90 mph pass by the Biotch. Got some footage of the Chillin' Machine as well, he's getting there.

Ragged...being the calculated man that he is, didn't choose to run with me on the back side of Wellsley Island because of the cruiser wakes ...I did hold him off ALL the way to the idle zone. On the way back from Singer (into the wind...as I said before, he is a calculating man), we stayed side by side until he turned to his starboard, but DID NOT pull away from me.

That's pretty good for me, with the four blades, because I typically don't go as fast into the wind and He knows that. We did manage to find some cruiser wakes on the way back to the Bay and He slowed down for them as we passed him. Seems as though the Beak needs a little sharpening.....As I see it right now we are pretty even with the four blades on both boats.

To be continued....

Dave

You know full well that Samantha has the disc problem, she is fine in the boat so long as nothing unexpected really throws her right now, hence the not go nuts in the cruiser traffic chit. If that sounds like a lame excuse so be it. I'm not going to ruin the rest of our summer and put her on the dock, I kinda like her being in the boat with me. This is the best year we've had in quite a few now, and I have no desire to F' it up.

The beak on the Biotch is just fine, Thank You. The props I'm running right now leave a little to be desired, but BBlades is working on that. Only time will tell. They are close right now, though one does have a slight edge. I'm reasonably sure this is far from a done deal on either side.

PS: I wouldn't count on the 4 blades staying on for very long. You better

There's an old saying about believing everything you hear. Maybe I'm just being a caluculating and crafty man here. I am from the Reggie camp, we always stack the odds in our favor, and we never lose. Lose is not in the Fountain dictionary.

If you bring cheerleaders to the "Main Event" make sure you bring some that are real good looking and scantily clad so they can get in for free. You on the other hand better be prepared to ante up the bucks at the gate. Axa and I have been working on what it should be worth for you slo-pokers to see some fast boats run.

Just a quick review of the posts I've seen. Yup nothing ever changes in the bay. Cheryl and I will be up there from the 8th of August thru the 17th. looking foward to the slushy machine, it is still up running I hope? Anyone cruising over to the Canadian side for the poker run? I'll be in the night before and was thinking about heading over that way on Saturday.

The funny part is you already have lost ..... You own a Reggie Brunswick Baja Fountain.

There is some other hardware coming to town that weekend that if for what ever reason you feel you are still the KING of the River. They are looking forward to giving ole'Ragged a run.
Bye the way they aren't Reggie Brunswick Baja Fountains either.

I will be on the sidelines as usual with my old barge (the one that isn't scared of rain , cruiser traffic , blah blah etc.etc.) watching the "fast world" go bye.

Noth'in like stiring the pot before the "Main Event" .......

If you had a Formula you wouldn't have to worry about cruiser wakes and discs.

Does this mean the "Main Event" can only be run in smooth water? Do we need to take it to Lake of the Isles for you?

I've been nice too long Pete, I'm ramping it up for the big bash.

By the way, Julie and I have changed our schedule slightly. We're not arriving until Friday (8th).

I've seen a few posts with the Hot Stepper tag and wondered if it was you, guess it is. I'm sure we will all be out to watch the poker run on saturday. Some of us may play a little, some will just sit and watch the world pass by. Got Twins will be heading up the "Watch the world pass by group" if that's what you prefer to do, or you can tag along with us.

Thirdbird will definitely be in the "watch the world go by" crew.
