went another route with adding speakers but it worked nearly as well. I simply removed the factory panel beside the rear bench, made a larger one using the same lines from starboard, then covered it in factory vinyl. mounted it the same way the factory mounted it so the original panel could be replaced (hiding a big azz hole where the speaker magnet goes through fiberglass)

The subs are simply cut out of that starboard panel and can easily be removed and a new panel installed.

We overnighted quite a bit and wanted hot food.....added a microwave. (this is without the trim panel around the unit)

going back the the 312 I had.......not many modifications but permanent AC was pretty cool . Removed the porta potti and installed the unit there. Had to make new panels for vents and controls on one side. Installed 2 discharge vents with one blowing towards the front "V" and installed the controls on that side as well.....didn't even need to get out of bed to adjust the temp!!! The rest was just used as storage space on top and the right "cubby hole". (the new owner has had the boat 5 years, never spent the night on it or used the AC)

Either become a paying member or upload the pics somewhere else and then link to them here.

What is in that massive "box" you added on the left (port side).

That massive box really isn't that large. It houses the air ducts and controls. Since I had to make something to hold all that I made it larger so that I would have some storage space in it and on top of it too. The "box" is flush with the lower portion of the "glass" divider that sticks out the furthest. It sticks out at the top by about 8 inches and wasn't in the way at all when sleeping on the boat.

I added a pic of the AC unit itself where the porta potti was.

t500 - I might have asked you before, what did you do with your old red & white steering wheel?

Mine came with an all white wheel.....I bought and replaced it with the red/white one you see.

(post #99 is the original wheel that I think I sold already, post #100 is the new one and is still on the boat.....I've sold the boat too now)
