what are you using for exhaust on yours ?
I had emi pipes on an older 242 with no noticeable change, but that was a dog anyway

1998 271 with 600hp 496 stroker, XR/-1 26p bravo 5500 rpm 74.9 gps 2/3 tank of fuel.

I have a 1998 271 that came with an HP 500 and a 1:50 LH B1. It's was converted to fuel injection when I had it rebuild last summer. It has the same FI as the new 525efi. It looks like a stock 525efi with CMI Headers. I added external hydraulic steering and Dana HP900 billit trim tabs. I also made it into a 540 with 675HP on the dyno and added 1:50 XZ gears. She only has 9 to 1 compression so she runs on 89 octane. The boat runs 81 at 5300 RPM's. She looks, sounds and runs like a new stock boat. She's a sleeper. I just bought a 38 so she'll go up for sale in the spring. look for her on here in April.

What prop are you running to get 81 at 5300?
