Anyone know what the speed difference between a 271 SR1 and a 271 Fastec with same power and drive ???

Honestly not much, 1/2mph

When I see theese nice pictures from your boats guys. I am wondering if there are any nicer 27 feet performance boat out there, then the Formula 271. To be honest I do not think so, of course I am subjective, I have one :-). Even though I havent seen one that are even close :-) It s pity that Formula do not produce them any more :-/

When I was shopping for my first boat, I knew I wanted a single performance big block. I thought I wanted a 27 fever, but honestly, the cabin is small and the features suck. I found a 271 on pier 57 and after reviewing the pictures I knew that was what I wanted to find. Find me another big block boat, with a pump out head, fresh water system, power bolsters, ect. Only thing the 271 is missing IMO is an anchor locker. If I can figure out how to add air to mine, I don't see much of a reason to step up to anything else.

I fairly certain it does not. I have never seen or heard of a 271 fastech with an anchor locker option.

Sorry you guy's are correct. I had my boats mixed up. Locker on 292 was too small to fit an anchor in it plus the one I did get to fit banged around too much. I quit using it on 292. Did not miss it on 271. Sorry again for bad info.
