That is exactly what my conversation with Scott at Formula was about this morning. I have some black plastic dimensional lumber like material that I am gonna try. I know I don't need much. I'm thinking rip it down about 1.5" wide by 3/4" thick and glue it with marine grade adhesive and then maybe some screws to hold it while the glue sets up. At that point I can position it between the hinges and see where I need to drill my new holes. Any other thoughts ?

Went out for the last time this year yesterday, Old Bird ran like a raped ape. Still happy with the setup.
