The 292 seller seems anxious. There is always a story behind every detail, so ask questions and don't be afraid to ask for certain things. The pricing seemed really good, so you certainly want to see it. Maybe they could run the engines and then do a compression test?
What are the details on the engines, etc. hours, condition, any recent work, etc?

454 magnums
I believe 690 hours (yes this seems low I know)
He said he had his gelcoat guy fix up some imperfections
He said he's also had the outdrives inspected and replaced anything that needed replacing last year.
He says he's had Donzi, cigarette, formula...we'll see.

The price seems reasonable. It's a starting point. Rather than just make an offer, make one based on a legitimate concern. Such as at 690 hours I'm looking at top ends in the near future. At 2k there would you consider an offer of 15k? Something like that has more merit than just a low ball. Remember there is no trailer which drops 2k immediately

Most folks looking for these boats are doing their own research and probably finding the same ones as you. An interesting thing to note is that the boat seems to have been listed as far back as a year ago on various sites.
