Ahh You bought Erics boat. That thing is awesome. I couldnt move my 272 fast enough to grab that.

I am still working on getting the dock/boathouse/lift replaced...but drag yours on down for some Gulf time and island hopping.

Sounds like a party! Im definitely planning on coming down sometime this summer. We had a blast last year. Love that area...

What’s this F311 run for a top speed with your setup?

I am just gathering data (crawl, walk, run) but yesterday with not very good conditions (crowds and people/boat traffic) with full fuel and four people she did 78.6 mph/gps at 5,100 rpms. I did not have the clean water to work on the trim and had to back down due to wakes/traffic.

That’s moving Tom. Less fuel and passengers will make her an 80 mph boat easy. Stick time will probably get you there by itself!

That sounds pretty impressive. It sure looks great on the hoist.

Two people (my Wife and I), 2/3 fuel...80.1 mph (gps). I was too busy looking out for smaller boats to see my rpms, trim position, etc...
But I set a pre-determined high-speed trim setting so I know it pretty close to optimal.
I am VERY pleased!!!

I wouldn't get too hung up on the slip numbers, Tom. Slip isn't necessarily a bad thing especially when trying to get some RPM out of it to work at peak power. Play with the trim some. Smooth water is also the enemy with most straight-bottom boats including ours; a little bit of chop is your friend at speed.

Tom, what pitch props? 26 or 28? Sorry, can't remember.

The water was pretty smooth, close to glass. I've seen in the past that a little ripple lightens the boat nicely. I'm running Bravo 4 blade 28 pitch. The engine builder said the max sweet spot is 5,400 RPM + -
