They still used the M/T valve covers which had a plate in the middle that stated "Kaama by Innovation Marine", this plate also had the hp rating in large numbers between Kaama and Innovation Marine. The drive pumps and tab pumps were the same but the drive pumps had Kaama stickers over the Keikhoffer(sp) name. They used New Tech(sp) Firepower ignition boxes which had Kaama stickers on them. Although I won't swear they are original, although I believe they are, the blocks are Bowtie. I have the original Kaama engine operation manual, it shows 3 engines available 1-350, 2-454 I don't remember the hp ratings. The transmissions are by Twin Disc. |

The last time I was in Sarasota when I was launching my boat, there was a guy there that worked for some marine repair place that said he worked at Innovation when they were building the Kaama motors. I'm pretty sure they were the same parts as the Merc 454/420's that were assembled by Innovation.
