We were able to get the boat up to 54mph yesterday as the lake wasn't quite as rough. Still trying to determine why we aren't running closer to 60mph.

Speed and spray
Thanks to Formulafastech and Cuda for the responses. I am sure now after your answer Formulafastech that the spray is quite normal, although I wonder why it seems to only be coming out of driver's side exhaust and not both sides. Cuda--ironically, the speed has increased since the installation of the batteries, but it probably relates to burning off lbs of gasoline. I just keep thinking there is something fundamentally wrong with the setup somewhere since I am using a 19 inch pitch prop and WOT is 4800 whereas others here are using up to 29 (I think). I am wondering if there is some way to verify the gear ratio since Formulafastech first raised that issue. Here is theMercruiser prop selector I used to arrive at the REV 4 prop I just installed.
