I would like to hear more about the 5 blades on a 353 with 500's no boxes. I put a set of 29 hydro 4 blades on yesterday had to trim it out to 5200 but hit 83 gps with more bow lift than b-1's

I think what you were really experiencing was more "whole boat" lift or keel lift as hydros are a stern lifter. Their semi surfacing design want to climb to the surface...thus giving more stern lift, and with enough power per lb. and LOA, more whole boat lift. The effect was most likely magnified by higher trim angles you were running over B1's.

I need some serious help in this field, I am running labbed 24 B1's and am hitting the rev limiters at 71.8. I have no idea where to start with props. I just had boxes installed, and they are set on the middle setting. I would love any recomendations!! I am going to hold off on going to shorties for awhile (wallet is sore)

thanks
Corey

Does anyone know what maximus formula is using on the 05 382 with the 525's or any other engine comb? I am interested in 5 blade props for my 382, should be approx 600 usable hp this spring. Jeff

Jeff what are you doing to come out with 600 usable hp ? Im curious . I have followed your threads . You definately do your homework .Im almost there. I pushing 575 and 630 lb f torque . I think the 28 hydro 4 blade or 29 will the prop of choice. Waitin a warm day. Would love to see 85 mph. The torque litteraly idles me up on plane.
