Alj,
That's an interesting story!! I had no idea Formula only built 12 or so 402s. So, it is quite remarkable that four of them live in the same storage facility. Cool stuff man!!!

Hey Third,
How are things with you? Yea, it was pretty strange that four ended up here in our winter wonderland. They all went in at different times and are split up between two buildings at the storage facility, so no pictures. I'm hoping in the spring I can get a pic of all of them together. Maybe in the summer on the water as well!

Wow, this thread certainly reaffirmed what i was thinking. I have a 89 311SR1 with 502 mag efi's, runs like a dream. I am upgrading to a 95 419 SR soon. I was glad to read I'm not the only one that likes the look of the older boats. While combing the adds I felt like i was looking at the same generic boats,(newer models) nothing that set anything apart.(lack of character) I too smile when I pull in next to a bunch of the new ones here on the bay, and people come to see my 15 year old. I'm new to the forum and am in MD, usually put in at sandy point and go everywhere. Thanks for making me smile about what I have!...Rob

offshore-drillin.......Welcome to the board!!Good luck with your upgrade. 419s are bad azz. post some pics if you got em.
Thanks, Its nice to see I wasnt the only one who thought that way about the older style.
My current ride is the 311, I love it, i just want to go bigger, for the overnight comfort facter. My 311 is on ebay now, with a reserve of 49k, its worth it I believe, especially with the 502 upgrades. I would buy the 419 now but I dont want to do the 2 boat thing again, I had my Donzi Z25 and the 311 at the same time. It was just too hectic. I also run my own business so the free time I have is limited.(always time for fun though) I bought the boat from a guy in VA named John that told me about the forum. He did tons of work to it and I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

Be sure to check out the BoatsUS.com page I started on older Formulas also! On this site, it has well over 5000 views and the thread with the next highest amount isn't even 1/4 of that.
I'm "233 Double E" there.
Even Cuda stops by every once in awhile to update on the progress.
I think the classic style of the older Formula is really what grabs attention. Some pics of that 40 footer over there would sure be a nice addition!
Take a look!

I have an 89' 311 and was wondering what that Palm Beach graphics would look like with yellow rather than the traditional magenta. Ultimately I'm going for the all white look. Thanks for posting those pix.
By the way, is that last pix where it's so narrow a "one way only" stretch???? Looks like if you met another boat coming at you it would be rather tight to get by.
