RADIO WORKS! I was installing the FloScan and had the engine compartment light on using the house battery. The light was starting to dim so I decided to plug in the shorepower. ONce I went in the cabin and hit the shorepower switch the radio kicked in. Must have something in the circuitry to kill the radio if the power falls below a certain level. I did not know that!!!!

I have a close eye on the weather forecast! Thanks for the congrats! (I'm still trying to figure out how to turn the damn radio on! )

How's that install going Kevin? Did you see my post also in tech in response to yours? A couple more little details in there that I didn't know if I had mentioned in our PM's. If there is anything else I can tell you, give me a shout. Randy

Rippem. Just got back from working on it. I installed the gauge using the factory bezel Looks nice! I ran two 4C 18AWG sheilded/stranded cables on the starboard side to the engine compartment. Mounted the FloScan sensors to the stringers close to the fuel pumps. Wired sensors and heat shrank connections. I need to get some different fuel barbs. I wasn't happy with the ones I bought once I started to put the fuel hose on them...too short and not enough barbs. I will be able to finish up next week when I go back. One question...should I silicone the screws in the fiberglass stringers? I used stainless self tappers. There are alot od other things screwed to the these stringers and it doesn't appear they used silicone. I'll get some pics when done. I also ordered a spare tire kit and LED lights to replace the other lights for the trailer. They came in today so I'll put those on next week. I'll keep you posted.

3 barbs 1.5" long minimum to support 2 clamps about one clamp width or a little less apart is my theory.

I most always dip a screw in silicone that's going into a stringer. Probably not necessary, but it makes me feel better.

But then again I'm a retentive, neurotic, obsessive compulsive type of A personality.
