Actually I was asking RedDog, but that's great yours is done too! Not sure what you did besides the dash. I'm sure that was a nice little project. Wish I were going to Havasu Have fun and drink safely

Kevin,

Motors are back in the boat. Just finishing up some rigging on electrical, cooling, fuel lines, exhaust. She will probably be ready by this weekend, although it looks like the weather will be less than tropical.

Looking forward to running with you. LEOPA spring poker run is June 4th!

Last night ... or did you mean to the boat?

Pulled the motors to fix a bunch of stuff:

replaced bad bilge pump, wiring, and hoses
Upgraded to Stef's oil pans.
Fixed and upgraded timing cover leak.
Correct wiring harnesses (initially rigged with my 311 harnesses)
thermostatically controlled oil coolers
oil pressure bypasses (dials in pressures identically between the two motors)
Livorsi bliiet race controls
new trim switch buttons
Sony stereo and remote (No more !#@$* Kenwood theft lock )
cleaned bilge and re-gelcoated a few areas
upgraded Max Machine drives

Sweet! Sounds like a lot of work! Does that boat have the 4-bolster setup? Also, did it have Prochargers originally? So does WAGS382 want the panel?

I'll be ready soon. Formula has it right now for the fitting replacement. I should have it back soon. Everything else is ready to go. I think I have the FloScan fixed. Found a bad crimp. Should have done it myself...Oh, forget that, I did do it myself! If it wasn't so far, I'd hit Havasu this weekend Hope everyhting works out on your repairs. Oh, I also fitted my boat with some fishing poles, just so I can sneak into those restricted areas.

NO 4 bolster set-up (I call it a six-pack). I really don't like the 4-bolster for recreational boating. You just can't move around at all in the cockpit. I think these are very difficult re-sale for that reason.

It originally had 585 h.p. E.F.I. Lingenfelter motors (not prochargers). They are long gone by previous owner. I bought it without power and dropped in the 645 h.p. Sterlings out of my 311.

It is in the back of the '99 brochure, and very briefly in the '99 promotional video. Previously owned by Dwayne Dean out in Arizona. It might have been on a few SCOPE runs. He has a 40 Skater now ... Lickety Split (?) I think. I bought the 382 from Jeffrey there in Newport Beach July '03. Maybe you've seen it?

I know he wanted to add oil temp guages. I'll let you know after I talk to him soon.

Thanks,

Chris

An annual rite of winter here in Ohio. The snow and ice gives a chance to fix all the stuff we broke during the five month boating season here!
