I could write a book on that silly light, I would take the mirror off at the head od the bed. you can get the wires easy that way. start there and if you have questions pm me for more I am on my 3rd light and tons of time replacing/messing with it....BZ

Before tearing appart the boat i would take a volt/ohm meter and check the wiring at the light. You can learn alot just from the wires. It can tell you if you have a bad ground or if theres no 12v+ Hell you may just have corroded contacts behind the light underneith. Another very common problem ive seen on boats was the switch. ALOT of boat companys use the spde connector splitters which tend to fall off sooner or later.

It appears there is no power @ the lamp(tester12v), bulb contacts look nice & clean, Look like I have to trace the wires back. -switch lights up on the dash & rear anchor light still works
