I have abuddy with a 03 42 lighting and you sit up higher in it than my Hustler. On mine sitting in the bolster you cant see over the wind screen very good, Standing in mine hits ya about to the shoulder.Sitting in the backseat the side hits ya in the neck,maybe alittle to deep.

FYI. I owned the first 42 with deep steps. It was built in 1997 as a 98 model. My boat was used in the photo shoots and advertising in the magazines. Initially it had staggered HP500s and ran 81-82 mph. After 150 hrs, Joey Griffin rebuilt the motors with B&M 250 blowers and 650 hp each. Ran 95-96 mph.
