Bilge Vent Tips
#1
Does Fountain sell the polished blower vent tips? If so, will they work on an older Fountain that never had them installed? I would assume just predrill and install?
Jerry, care to make a second set with the flappers?

Thanks for the compliment, but then I wouldn't have the only set in existance.
And they say all Fountains look alike.
I think those 'tips' from Fountain are actually tubes that run up inside, replacing the fg hole/tube that we all have. Less work for them. That tube and deck can't be made as 1 peice. Don't have to FG in the tube and finish the outside after the deck is pulled from the plug. Just drill the hole and slide the SS tubes up in. At least the boat I was looking at, the tubes went as far as I could see. Possibly if you could buy just that part, adding flappers wouldn't be too big of an ordeal. My guess is that if you could buy them from Fountain, you would have to cut out your existing vent assembly. So had better make sure the tube flange would cover up your hole and have screw mounting hole space.
I see Fountains cure to keep the water from rushing up that vent hole was to install a simple vent over the hole to break up the water. Seems kind of a cheap fix.
