Sure, post all all the video links you want Tim. I'm sure you knew everything back in your early 20's. I was only 23 back then and didn't even know what a LIFELINE vest was. When I did I went out and bought one even though they were not Coast Guard approved and wore one majority of the time. See the Key West Video. When I knew I was going to run hard I was suited up.

As I said in the above post, the only one I was putting in danger was myself.

You do realize I was not the one that brought this topic back up, you did. And you are well aware that many people on this board knew I called you out on that video but yet you obviously didn't take the advice given back then, so here we are again.

Just by you making the above post "Someone accused me of being "un-safe" in this video because on the ride over from NJ to NYC we didn't have life jackets on...even though we weren't IN the poker run..." you sure knew you were going to stir the pot ....

I was out with your sister on that boat thinking we would be getting pictures. Sure Mike ran it up for a quick burst, but I was in an OUTERLIMITS with a guy that drove and throttled. I felt safe. Again, if I didn't ask for a jacket I put myself at risk. If Mike didn't offer, which he might have, he probably didn't think we were going to do much but take pictures.

Either way, it was my choice as was your sister's and Mike's for themselves. I take responsibility for my own actions.

Lastly,
If someone offers you a ride in their boat and you accept, I certainly wouldn't call that " bumming a ride".

The ride I did have to ask for was from Tantrum in order to get back to the ramp because by the afternoon 2 heads didn't remember they were suppose to have a 3rd passenger with them for the ride back...

I wasn't concerned, just about anyone there would have got me back. Some people are cool like that!

Advice..... you're right... Instead of *****ing bout Key West and your "media contract" you should have listened to my advice that I got from a corporate attourney who deals with these kinds of issues on a daily basis... But you refused to listen and still stand on your soap box...

As far as the life jackets on the Hot Toddy....whether her and mike had one on, you as the more responsible one should have had one on...shame on you...

I didn't imply anything..I made a statement. A statement is fact...and implication is not...

My statement of fact was that we ran 60 mph and no more than 70 mph the entire poker run....with PFD's ON...

Please dont' try and twist this around to cover your azz now that you've been called out.

For the record:

Video was shot in 1986 '86

in an enclosed area used for Jet Ski Rentals off the beach. (No rentals were being rented at the time.)

No one was being endangered other then the operators of their own boats in which we all knew the risks. Top speed at any given time in that video may have been 30 mph to 35mph.

All drivers were extremely expereinced with what the little boats were capable of...

PLEASE DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.

It is also law now that you cannot come within that distance of the beach.

I find it really hard to believe that you were the ONLY one on that boat wearing a PFD...come on now, stop grasping for straws..

Plus, if you find yourself in an UNSAFE situation, such as in those videos...it's your responsibilty to take yourself out of that situation by 1) asking the driver to slow the heck down. 2) removing yourself from an unsafe situation.

Please don't tell us all what's good for us if you don't follow the same rules yourself.

Ding...ding....ding....round 12 is over guys..........most of us are smart enough here to know when and what to do while boating. Sometimes we all make mistakes and not make the right decisions in life, but when we do, we have to live with it ourselves... so boat on and be safe, quit acting like kids damn'it.
