Nothing Like An Apache In Giant Water Period !!!!!

John the water in the photo is more or less typical for an average NJ DAY.(giant to some average to those used to running the northAtlantic Ocean)Frank i spoke to Chuck about this.He said exactly what you said ,about riding on top of the water in his 42 Fountain. He also was of the opinion that a Cig,LS Scarab or Apache would probably be a better fit for me due to the fact i want to be able to take day trips without having to worry about getting the crap beat out of me.(Chuch relayed the experience he had off Long Island in 8 s plus with his 42 )

if you are going to run 100 in anything in that water,be prepared to spend a FORTUNE!

REDDEATH 01-19-2008 03:26 PM

I truely realize it costs(correct drives ect )My old 31 race Sutphen with tripple 2.5 Merc offshore racing outboards ran a true 85 (fifteen years ago )and was used(abused ) in the above mentioned Atlantic Ocean for many years .If i go in the 40 foot range 100 mph (to me at least ) is the number

My test report on 2/15/93 reads that our 42 weighed in at 9695lbs. dry.

REDDEATH 01-19-2008 03:34 PM

Back4More i see you run a 42 in Lake Michigan (which is supposed to be even rougher than the Northern Atlantic )what do you think in regard to this post?
