It has a 500HP. We'll figure out a time to meet up in Canandaigua, since you're not in a hurry probably makes more sense to wait until the weather is a lot warmer. By the way IMO...Fountain, hands down.

Thanks,
Mike

Heck - they are both good. Look for a claen boat that has been well maintained - either way you will be happy.

Guy's , both builders build nice boats....value in today's market is in the Baja, performance is in Fountain. Either boat is going to have similar resale issues....depreciation is the same year after year, no 1 builder doesn't feel the crunch... no resale is "better " than another, some less than others...bottom line, buy what you can afford and enjoy it.

Here's my $.02. I too am in the market for a single engine 25-28 footer.

The only thing I don't like about the 25' boats which the OL 25 and Fever 27 really are, is the space between the front seats and rear bench. You can't really stand up straight if you're in back.

For this reason, I'm looking at older Fever 29s with the single or my most likely route... the Sunsation 288 or 28 Intimidator (same boat different name). I think you get the best bang for the buck with the Sunsation and although not as well known as Baja or Fountain, I think would just as difficult to sell. These are all 00-01 model years.

OL 25s are available right at $40K (even less sometimes).

Sunsation 28 Intimidator in the $50K range.

Fever 27s are available more in the $60K range.

Fever 29s are in the $70K range. Although there is an 02 for $65 in the classifieds that looks sweet!
