Take a close look at a #3, #4, #5 or even the #6 which is the only one with a Cav plate over the propeller and it is only 6" wide.

Likewise the cav plate on a Bravo is no wide either. So why is there a concern on an Arneson and not the others?

Sorry, but we are 4" longer longer than a Bravo on a box.

Looks are deceiving.

I don't advise one to hang, stand, jump or associate themselves with an outdrive when the boat is in the water regardless of who makes it.

Negative pookie. There is just less metal around it....picture a #6 shaft only and there you have it. Like Rik said its only 4" more than a bravo. I wish the "hard turning" and "dangerous prop" myths would just be put to rest once and for all.

no, there would be significant bottom work required to make it handle I would expect.

Here is a 28AT with an arneson.....its a flat transom boat so the comparison is slim. I just like the pic.
