You also have to consider who will be buying your boat. A bank is not going to lend much if any over NADA to finance the boat. So unless your buyer is not financing, $55K or whatever price you come to over $47K wont happen.
On a side note, I think boat prices have been inflated for years and are finally coming back down to earth in the used market. I dont see a turn around in values for years to come if ever.
Good luck with your sale. And yes, everyone does have opinions that is why we are on these discussion boards, to voice ours.

Here is the deal jmoore1225, go back and read the messages from the beginning, a certain gentlemen claimed NADA stated my boat listed for $36,000. A big WRONG! Yes I have done my homework and checked listed prices and options on 27' fevers in many different sites. I have found boats that were older, with smaller engines for a lot more money. I have also seen newer boats in terrible shape for more money. So if you want to say that some of these guys in here do there homework I would have to disagree. Yes jmoore1225 I know the economy is in a bad way right now, because if there something about the economy in hamilton, ohio that makes it much more worse than the rest of the country please let the public know! I have never known anyone not to sell anything for the highest dollar amount they could get. That is why it is called price bidding. To me jmoore1225 it sounds like you have not one but two black motors as I see you have a 32'. Don't get upset man, like everyone says it's a matter of preference. I spent a little extra cash so I wouldn't have to add all the aftermarket parts to make the horsepower, I have it already.
Baja Man I know how the NADA thing works, and maybe I might be asking more, but that is what I am asking and never made any other comments about the price. Believe me I know what my boat is worth but on the same note I not going to come on here and sell my boat for a low ball figure according to what some knuckle heads on here think. When I decided to ask the price I am asking I looked at NADA and the prices off of other boat sites.

One more thing Baja Man, I agree with you 100% about people having opinions and that is why there is this forum. But in some cases it is how individuals voice there opinions that come across as insulting and get people a little hot under the collar. Remember it is those few that give the boating community a bad rap.

Scarab22 I looked at that 27 at harrison.
I think the interior was rough for that new of a boat, well at least the engine hatch is starting to shred.
The latter is missing and broken off, slight damage to fiberglass.
cover is shot.
I would realy low ball it.
I was interested in it but it looks to small for my needs.

I am convinced 100% now jmoore1225 you are the one I am calling out as a black eye on the boating community. You come on here spouting your mouth off about something you apparently do not have a clue about. There will always be people in life like you the rest of the public will have to deal with.
As for the reference you made to bob t's 04' 27', sounds like a nice boat. But why don't you ask bob t why he is selling his 04 27' for so low. Because NADA says it's worth a lot more and isn't this what the banks go by( hince economy ). Or maybe it is because bob t mentiioned he had a deal for a 35' fountain he trying work out. Maybe it's a question you need to get an answer for before you bring someone else into the mix.
I calls um' likes I see's um' jmoore1225.

I started at a higher price, and the phone never rang. There are lots of boats listed on here and traderonline where I bet the seller's phone never rings, other than the occasional really low-ball offer, but its a free country, and you can ask whatever you want for your boat. You can always negotiate down in price, but its hard to negotiate up, from your asking price. ABOS and BUC, which are the price guides that boat dealers, brokers, and banks use for buying/financing boats says mine is around $48K wholesale, without a trailer, and mid 50's retail. NADA is generally regarded as worthless, when it comes to performance boats (and boats in general). I don't know anybody who is paying retail for a boat, in this economy. And yes, I had it aggressively priced because I can get a great deal on a 35 twin step Lightning, and don't want to miss that below wholesale offer, either.

Thanks alot. I talked with them extensively and they were very honest about the condition. I did bid on it, and yes, went way low ball. I haven't heard anything and I don't know if it has sold or anything. But at the price I offered, I can deal with the problems and still come out nicely. My bid is subject to formal survey and ECM scan.
Thanks again for the info, Budget!
