Congrats Eric, you're a boater again.
That's my concern.....the one time situation of hot day, borderline gas, long run, etc. All it takes is once. It could be just fine 99% of the time, but it only takes that 1% to screw it all up. I'm not one to take risks like that with my engines, even though the compression is low in these.(at least lower than I normally run). Thank you for the compliment.

Thanks everyone else for all of the kind words. It really means a lot. We are as happy or happier than Eric and Gavin that they can go boating.

Eddie

Default Thanks Eric and Gavin Seeley

Fountain Performance Marine wants to thank the Seeley brothers for having the confidence in our team to dial in their 42 Fountain. We enjoyed getting to know you and show you what we can do to make your boat better. Thanks again for the opportunity and we look forward to serving you again sometime in the future. My crystal ball sees #6 SSM in your future and probably more horsepower from Eddie. Eddie Young was also a pleasure to work with and we look forward to working with enyone wanting to install Eddie's engines in any brand of performance boat. We have had one successful date with Eddie and we look forward to more. Our staff of mechanics, welders, riggers, detailers, fiberglass technicians and all involved are the key to FPM success. It took a big team and to make this happen and everyone did their part and we wanted to thank our staff. Again, thanks Eric and Gavin because without you we would not be here. PERSONAL service is also something we pride ourselves in and we hope it made a positive difference. As our Dad always says....we are available anytime for any customer that needs our services....Just call us or e-mail and we will do our best to accomodate you. We are open for business 24/7... www.fountainperformancemarine.com

Well....its a "wrap" for now...lol. Me and trip 300's have driven for 20hrs straight and i jus splashed the bytch w 200gal of fuel and went out w my bro Gavin and hit 117. I can honestly tell u all that both my brother and i have a passion for boats that is rivaled by none. This whole ordeal over the last 5yrs has taken us from one end of the spectrum to the other. Everyone on this thread has been so supportive and both Gavin and I thank u all so much for ur ideas and positive comments...again thanks to all OSO peeps who have followed us thru this....the moral support has belped me more than u know.

Now on to the real "players".
Bottom line is this...if u guys want a crew of people to rig ur boat and make it go faster...FPM is the number to call..end of story. As u all know er have tried soooo many different "builders", "riggers" and people who profess they know about things that they are clueless on. FPM got it right...and made it fast, stable and produced a boat that ran the speed they said it wld run if I brought them the motors that made the HP they needed.

Now this brings me to Eddie. From day one when I talked to Eddie I knew it was a good fit. He has always shot me straight and no BS. He not only produced the 1000hp motors Ftn needed...he went above and beyond with 1100's. He is a man of his word and just like FPM, he produces...which is all I have ever asked.
I will end on this note. Short of the day my Son was born I can honestly say that Yesterday was possibly the highest point in my life. I literally had goosebumps and tears in my eyes (not from the wind..lol) watching the GPS hit 122 w Sr on the Sticks and Eddie in his laptop "cubbyhole" on the floor. Wyatt was there taking video of the whole thing and R3 was the man that brought it all together with the dial in. I found out later from my brother after i texted him a pic of the speedo that he actually broke down and shed tears as well...and he NEVER cries...ever. Lol. Me on the other hand..i cry like a pu$$y. Lol.

As Wyatt mentioned above (and R3 pressed me as I was leaving...lol) its #6's from FPM next w 4L Whipples from Eddie. But for now Im gonna enjoy my 120mph ride and continue to relive the last 2 days over and over in my head and remind myself of all that my Brother and I have been thru to get us to this point.

Again...I want to thank u all for the ride of a lifetime. U have made two brothers who are beat friends and who both share the same passion very happy.

And to my OSO Posse....as most threads drift off into obscurity.. i can only hope that everyone who has followed this circus will chime in from time to time...u guys r awesome.

THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!

I've read this particular post a few times, and I gotta say That's what it all about right there !!

I can certainly identify with the passion part, and when I picked up on this story I had no doubts that you were in good hands.. I obviously can't speak for anybody other than myself, but with that being said I have had the privilege over the past several years of witnessing firsthand the raw passion and energy that Eddie puts into what he does... As well as the time, the dedication, the sacrifices, and the shear determination it takes to get to where he is and to consistently produce products at the level they're at when they leave his shop, besides the fact that they actually work, and when I say work I don't mean just run... It often inspires me to push myself, push the envelope when needed, and be a life long learner, because in my opinion that's a large part of what it takes to succeed, and be on top of your game in anything you do, I'll also add at the risk of sounding like a soppy puss that he's one of the most confident humble dude's I know, and as allot of us know those are two qualities that most often do not go hand & hand...

Throughout my near 37 yrs of life I've done my fair share of hot rodding and I've had my hands on some pretty cool stuff along the journey, and although loud, and or shiny will always get my attention I'll say that I'm also not easily impressed with either one.. However a few years back I did get the opportunity to take a small part in helping out on a tuning session in a 1200/1400 powered V-bottom sporting it's new shiny set of 41's for their first time out and although yes that, along with the overall craftsmanship itself was quite impressive to say the least, what Really impressed me was the fact that we ran the boat for the better part of the day, and despite pulling it on & off plane between runs, sometimes letting it idle for 10 min orso, other times shutting it down to check things out ect..ect.. then fire both of em right back up, jump back on plane and go at it again I couldn't tell you how many times that day !! What got me wasn't just the Jiz I left in the passenger seat, or the drool I left on the headset, or the intensity and adrenaline of everything going on between holding a wide band in within his view, holding the laptop at times with my foot, and using a push to talk for the first time while sitting on my knees in the seat looking for chit in the water under some not so desirable conditions.. What impressed me was the fact that it never spit, sputtered, coughed, sneezed, or done anything other than run like a rapped ape all day... And again I'm nobody special but I been around HP my entire life and that my friends was impressive !!! But even more impressive is a couple seasons later, and a somewhere around a couple hundred hours later (if I'm not mistaken on the "exact" hrs.) when they were still performing as they did that day !!!!

And as for the Fountain crew I cannot say I've ever had the privilege of meeting any of them firsthand, but despite whatever anybody can say or think, their results with fast V-bottoms is VERY hard to argue with !! And though I'm not always the smartest feller on the block I do know that's not something that's just a fluke as well, It comes with the same blood, sweet & tears !!

Anyways all that to say Congrats to all, and to all a good night !!!!

Lastly, on a personal note I can assure you that if I don't tear up the first time I hear mine fire up, and I get to smell smoke I will sometime before it's unloaded off the trailer, so I share your love bro, and if you ever need anything from me, just holler...

And oh yeah I would love to see that video !!!

Congrats to all involved. It's nice to finally see this story come to a happy ending. As the ex-salesmanager for a Fountain dealership that used to be in Lighthouse Point, FL years ago, I can attest to the professionalism of the Fountain family. I spent some time with Reggie, Wyatt, and Reggie III was just getting into the picture. Clayton Kirby was also a big help! It was always a pleasure dealing with them, ordering boats, and attending boat shows and I wish FPM the best in their new ventures! One of these years I'll escape the auto business and get back into the boat business!! lol
